COMMUNITY of  FRANCISCAN FRIARS of  THE RENEWAL -BRADFORD

St. Pio Friary, Bradford was founded in 2005. At the invitation of Bishop Roche of Leeds, the friars moved to the inner city of Bradford to serve the homeless and destitute of the city and to work for the renewal of the Catholic faith throughout the diocese.

The Community of Our Lady of Walsingham

Carmelite Brothers and Sisters living in the Fiat of Mary. As one of the new forms of consecrated life recognised by the Church, an Ecclesial Family of Consecrated Life, we welcome men and women from different states in life. We help work for the coming of God’s Kingdom by enabling people to live in the joy and freedom of Mary’s Fiat. As a Marian community we consecrate ourselves to Jesus through Mary, praying and working for the re-evangelisation of England and the western world.

Divine Mercy Prayer Group

Our Lord Jesus Christ consigned St. Maria Faustina Kowalska with the great mission to proclaim His message of Mercy to the whole world. He expressed to her His desire to heal aching mankind by pressing us to His Merciful Heart.

The Divine Mercy Prayer Group carries on this Great Mission in the UAE. By encouraging the devotion to the “Divine Mercy”. The Group aims for a revival in spiritual lives, thus developing genuineness in following God’s Will, through Jesus’ Promise to “Trust in Him” as His Mercy overflows for the one who “surrenders” completely to His Will, Plan and Care.

Mary’s Meals provides life-changing school meals to children living in some of the world’s poorest communities. The promise of a good meal brings hungry children into the classroom, where they can gain an education and better opportunities for the future.

We are already serving more than three million every school day. But millions more are still waiting for Mary’s Meals. With your support more hungry children will wake each morning knowing they will eat a good meal today – your donation means they have hope for a brighter tomorrow.

In 2018, “Stay Awake” was founded with its first day event taking place in 2019. Rooted in Mark 13:32–37, the day brings together around 250–290people from across the diocese to worship God, deepen their faith, and build Christian community. The programme includes keynote talks, workshops, times of worship, Mass, opportunities for fellowship, children and youth groups run by wonderful youth leaders, ending with a shared meal provided after Mass (usually in the form of pizza!).

The John Bradburne Memorial Society was founded as a charity in England in 1995 in order to help support Mutemwa Leprosy and Care Centre in Zimbabwe, in memory of John Bradburne’s dedicated life and work there as Warden between 1969 to 1979.

Our Objective: To relieve people at Mutemwa, Zimbabwe, who are suffering from illness, through the provision of supplementary food, medicines, medical care, and shelter, with the objective of improving their conditions of life

After 30 years, Retrouvaille is recognised as a leader in marriage ministries. No longer “the best kept secret in the church,” Retrouvaille continues, however, to be limited by lack of team couples and priests to accomplish the vision and mission embraced by the Retrouvaille founders. Those who have involved themselves in helping other hurting couples would agree that making themselves available has been a gift to continue their own growth and kept them from slipping back into a self-centered lifestyle which brought them to Retrouvaille in the first place.

Inspired by our patron saint, St Francis of Assisi, we have cared for people with leprosy for 130 years. We operate in twelve countries in Africa, Asia and in Brazil where leprosy is endemic.
By supporting over thirty leprosy centres and projects, we play our part in caring for those affected by the disease and working towards a leprosy-free world.
We fund research projects, hospitals, rehabilitation centres and capital equipment. We fund Active Case-Finding, a programme that finds, diagnoses and treats people with leprosy before it causes disability and spreads into communities.
We believe that a leprosy-free world is within sight; if not today, then soon.

Worldwide Marriage Encounter is a Movement which aims to give couples who are married, or in long-standing relationships and commitment the opportunity to enrich and refresh their relationships. It also seeks to give priests and religious the chance to reflect on their vocation and enhance their relationship with their parish and community.

Marriage Encounter is not aimed at marriages or relationships that are in difficulty, because the Movement does not offer advice or counselling for marriages in crisis.

Engaged Encounter is the sister organisation of Worldwide Marriage Encounter. Engaged Encounter is a Movement within the Catholic Church which provides couples, who are engaged to be married, with a formal course in marriage preparation.

We have more than 50 years’ experience in helping couples prepare for marriage in the Catholic Church. Our marriage preparation weekends for engaged couples will help get you ready for the big day and for the days, weeks, months and years to come.
